Delivery & Logistics

Yes. We deliver natural stone across Melbourne, Geelong, the Surf Coast, the Mornington Peninsula, the Central Highlands and Shepparton. Delivery cost depends on the distance from our Wonga Park yard, the volume of rock ordered and site access. For an exact delivery quote, contact our team or see our delivery page.

Steps, seats and sawn stone are delivered on pallets. We can provide a Forklift equipped Truck to unload the pallet at your site, but placing the stone is your responsibility. Refer to our excavator size guide if you need machinery to move landscape rocks into position.

Yes. Transrock supplies landscapers, councils, schools, cemeteries, builders and homeowners. We handle everything from small garden projects to large civic upgrades and have the capacity to scale to your project’s needs.

Our fleet includes 7 trucks ranging from compact 2 m³ tippers through to heavy haulers of 20 m³ or more. We select the right truck based on your order volume and site access. If you are concerned about driveway access, send us a photo or review our fleet dimensions online.

We deliver loose landscape rock by the cubic metre. Measuring by loose volume ensures you receive a fair load regardless of stone shape and size. We do not typically deliver in bulka bags, although empty bags are available if you want to collect smaller pieces yourself.

No. Each load is dedicated to a single tipping location. If your project requires drops at several locations, we schedule separate loads in sequence. Contact us to plan the most efficient delivery schedule.

We deliver Monday to Friday only. Weekend deliveries are not available. If you have your own trailer, ute or truck, you can collect material from our Wonga Park yard on Saturdays.

Yes. You are welcome to visit our yard, handselect the stone and have us load your trailer, truck or ute. Smaller materials are also available for pickup.

Yes. We can schedule your delivery ahead of installation. Store the rocks as close to their final position as possible to minimise handling.

Yes. We can organise multiple deliveries over one or several days. Tell us your schedule and we will coordinate the loads accordingly.

Our Delivery cost is calculated by the size of the truck required, and the distance of the delivery from our yard. For anything that is up to around 50 km radius from our Wonga Park yard, this ranges from $55 for our small and medium sized trucks locally to $425+ for our largest Truck & Trailer.

We regularly deliver further than 50 kms – give us a call and we can organise a quote.

Because tipper trucks can make only one drop per load (they don’t do multi-stop runs like delivery vans), each trip is scheduled and priced as a dedicated trip to your location.

Ordering, payment, pricing and quantities

We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Trade customers can apply for an account subject to eligibility.

Our landscape rock starts at approximately $135 per cubic metre and ranges up to around $320 per cubic metre depending on the material chosen (basalt, granite, sandstone, mudstone or other rock types). Pricing is calculated on a loose cubic metre basis to ensure fairness across different shapes and sizes.

Yes. Visit our yard in Wonga Park to handselect the perfect stone for your project. Our team will help you compare options and discuss sizes, textures and colours.

We offer deliveries arriving from 7:00 AM until 4:00 PM, with the last truck generally leaving our yard by 3:30 PM each day. We are not able to offer delivery on Saturdays, however if you’ve got a trailer or ute, we can load your vehicle.

Selecting the right landscape rock

If you underorder, contact us to arrange an additional delivery. If you overorder, rather than covering the cost of returning the rock, we recommend working with your landscaper or designer to incorporate the extra rock. As a natural product, each piece is unique and returns are generally not accepted.

A natural dry creek bed typically combines fine freedraining aggregate, medium river pebbles and larger feature stones. Mixing sizes makes the creek bed look authentic, improves water flow during heavy rain and creates a stable base that resists shifting.

Yes. Seeing the stone in person is the best way to choose the right size, colour and character for your project. Our team is available to answer questions and help you compare options.

We stock a wide range of colours and textures across basalt, granite, mudstone, sandstone and other rocks. Each batch of rock is unique as the material is quarried from different veins of stone. Visit our product pages or Wonga Park yard to view current stock and select the right match for your job.

Because natural rocks vary in shape and density, we recommend working with a professional landscaper or designer. They can estimate the number of pieces required and ensure their machinery is appropriate for moving the rocks into place.

Our minimum order is
For a collection order, 0.25 m³.
For a delivery order, 1 m³.

We supply rocks from the size of a cricket ball through to stones as large as a small car. Popular sizes for paths and walls range from 300 mm to 800 mm in diameter. Larger feature boulders measuring 3 m or more are also available.

It depends on the size of each piece. Approximately 35–50 rocks the size of a football fit into one cubic metre (these could be used to edge a path). For stones between 300 mm and 800 mm in diameter, expect around 3–8 rocks per cubic metre.

Transrock supplies walling rock in a variety of colours and textures, such as:

  • Little Desert Sandstone rocks
  • Pink Mudstone rocks
  • Honey Granite rocks
  • Coldstream rocks

Each stone has a unique tone and texture to complement your landscape design.

Yes. Bring photos or plans and our team will recommend the best size, colour and type of rock. We can also advise on load size and delivery logistics.

Feature landscaping rocks all have unique colours, shapes, and presence. We stock:

  • Blue Mudstone rocks
  • Pink Mudstone rocks
  • Honey Granite rocks
  • Field Granite rocks
  • Iceberg Granite rocks
  • Coldstream rocks
  • Basalt rocks
  • Sandstone rocks

Each stone type carries its own colour profile and character that aligns to specific design themes. We offer suitable options for every landscape application, from statement features to structurally reliable retaining walls.

Honey granite and basalt retain their natural beauty when sawn and are ideal for steps and seating. Both are available in a range of sizes and can be cut to suit your design.

Access, machinery and handling

Landscape rocks are heavier than they look! As a rule of thumb:

  • Crushed rock: ~1.5 tonnes per cubic metre
  • Large landscaping rock: ~1.2 – 1.4 tonnes per cubic metre

Our advice: If a rock is over 400 – 500mm in diameter, you’ll want a machine, not muscles.

Our fleet includes trucks from 2 m³ capacity up to more than 20 m³. If driveway or site access is tight, send us a photo or check our fleet specifications and we will allocate an appropriate vehicle.

  • Stand well back from the rear door in case any rocks have moved during transport.
  • Don’t tip on a hill or a soft service, rocks can roll down hill, or truck bodies can loose their centre of gravity causing a truck rollover.
  • Prepare a soft surface for the material to be dropped on – tipping onto asphalt or concrete will likely damage the surface, so we recommend using a base of mulch, garden soil, or even pallets to protect the surface. We accept no liability for damage caused by tipping at the spot requested.

No. We do not hire machinery. We expect to offer trailers for customer use soon; please contact us for updates.

We recommend using an Excavator to move any rocks larger than 400 – 500mm diameter. Different Excavators can move different sizes of rock, as a guide we suggest::

  • 1.7T excavator can move up to ~800mm
  • 3T excavator can move up to ~1m
  • 5T excavator can move up to ~1.2m
  • 8T excavator can move up to ~1.5m

Bigger than that?
You’re into 20T+ excavator territory.

Returns, tipping conditions and policy

Avoid tipping garden rocks directly on concrete, paving, or asphalt (unless you enjoy cracks and council complaints).
Use a soft surface such as soil, mulch, sand or pallets when tipping to avoid damage to concrete, paving or asphalt. If access is difficult, speak to us in advance so we can plan the safest dropoff point.

Unless by special arrangement, we don’t typically accept return rocks. If you’re returning the rocks with your own truck, we maybe able to offer an exchange. Call us to discuss prior.

Avoid tipping directly onto concrete, paving or asphalt. Heavy rocks can crack or mark hard surfaces and councils may object. Use a buffer of soil, mulch or pallets to protect surfaces.

Trade accounts

If you have traded with us for at least six months and average one transaction per month or approximately $1,000 per month, contact us to discuss opening a trade account.

Lead times and availability

Most deliveries can be scheduled within a few days. During peak landscaping season or for large orders, allow extra lead time. If you are selecting your own stone, we recommend visiting the yard 7-days before you need it delivered.

Sustainability

Yes – our landscape rocks are locally sourced natural products. Which require limited processing compared with manufactured pavers or concrete, nor have they had a journey across an ocean. Plus, they last for decades with limited maintenance.
